A Journey of Leadership
and National Responsibility

A professional profile of Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, covering his policing career, pioneering anti-corruption work and national-security leadership.

NUHU RIBADU

Integrity in service. Strategy in leadership.

Ribadu built a national reputation through investigative policing and as the pioneer chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He later entered electoral politics and, in June 2023, was appointed National Security Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In the NSA role, his work centres on strategic advice, inter-agency coordination, intelligence, counter-terrorism, partnerships and a whole-of-government approach to national security.
